In the Maule Valley, terroirs with a high percentage of clay determine the mineral character of our wines. The cold evening breezes from the Andes mountains caress our vineyards, causing extreme fluctuations in temperature. The resulting wines are intense in colour, full of fresh fruit, highly concentrated and with mature tannins, delivering a well-balanced palate.

This is a ruby red wine with notes of violet. It has fresh aromas of black morello cherries and a spicy finish with a smooth toasty touch. The palate reveals a combination of structure and smoothness, dominated by black fruits, tobacco and vanilla with Sweetness of tannins which give over to a smooth, lingering finish.

Recommended with red meat, stew, roast turkey, patés and salty cheeses. Serve at between 16°C (61°F) and 18°C (64°F).

Winemaking:

The grapes, of our own production, were hand-harvested and then underwent a cold maceration for five days. Next, acoholic fermentation with selected yeasts took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperatura of 27°C. 40% of this wine was then aged in French and American oak barrels for a periodo for six months.

Winemaker's Comments:

This is a ruby-red coloured wine, which reveals aromas of cassis, blackberries, fresh plums and vanilla. It is balanced and smooth on the palate with velvety tannins and has notes of candied fruit, caramel and smooth chocolate.The finish is fine and elegant.

Food Pairings:

This wine is ideal with lean red meat, white meat, ham, pasta and fruit marinaded in wine.
