Maucho Malbec

These wines uncover the essence of the Maule Valley. Each variety is located in a terroir which is specially selected to enhance its flavours and aromas without complexity. They are wines with great personality, inviting you to discover their secrets every time you uncork them.

This wine is an intense, dark ruby colour. The bouquet unveils notes of cherries, morello cherries and a hint of violets. On the palate, there are fruit-filled notes of black cherries, a touch of spice and soft vanilla as a result of the barrel-ageing.

Winemaking:

The grapes, from our own production, were selected and manually harvested, then subjected to a cold maceration for three days. The must was then fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at 27ºC. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in French barrels, where it was aged for ten months.

Winemaker's Comments:

Food Pairings:

This wine is excellent with game, meat casseroles and mature cheese. Best served at between 16°C and 18°C
