Maucho Carignan

This wine is an intense ruby red. The bouquet reveals complex aromas of fresh red fruit and plums and floral notes. In the mouth, it is juicy and fresh with ripe tannins. This concentrated wine with its long, fruity finish bears testimony to the age of these dry-farmed vines.

Winemaking:

The grapes were carefully selected and harvested by hand. Cold maceration took place for two days at 5ºC and was followed by alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at 27ºC. Then malolactic fermentation took place and the wine spent a total of ten months ageing in barrels.

Food Pairings:

This wine pairs beautifully with any kind of meat, especially well-seasoned grilled red meat. It is also excellent with strong and creamy cheese. Best served at between 16ºC and 18ºC.
